Pornography is a complex, controversial and thorny topic for many people and one that is very emotionally charged. Most people have very strong feelings about pornography. It is beyond the scope of this booklet (or any booklet, book or program for that matter) to try and resolve these issues or settle the controversy. The aim of this booklet is to add to the conversation but focusing on an aspect that receives extremely limited focus - that is, what is the impact on men of viewing pornography.

This booklet is part of a larger project that aims to support men to critically explore their experiences of viewing pornography - something almost no men have done. This larger project - What's wrong with this picture (www.rusfunk.me/WWWTP) has several components. The core of which is an eight session facilitated educational program for men. This educational program facilitates men through a critical conversation that encourages them to examine the impact of their viewing pornography: and to explore the values and norms that are inherent in and promoted by pornography comparing these to their own values and norms.
