The bibliography is divided into three main sections. The first section addresses the question: “Do perpetrator programmes work?” This section includes literature on the issues of retention, recidivism and outcomes. The “Intervention issues” section includes research on engagement and typologies. The third section includes literature describing coordinated community responses to support perpetrator programmes. A brief list of resources and websites completes the bibliography. This selected bibliography focuses on interventions related to perpetrators. It does not cover primary prevention. The main focus of the literature is on male perpetrators, as family violence is predominantly perpetrated by men and as there is limited literature on perpetrator programmes for female perpetrators of family violence.
