The Report is divided into seven volumes. "Volume 3 sets out our factual findings with respect to these areas of our mandate and considers them in the context of what we have learned about the perpetrator, mass casualties, and the prevention of mass casualties. We identify lessons to be learned on the issues of gender-based and intimate partner violence, police paraphernalia, and firearms. In Volumes 4 and 5 we return to these issues and analyze them in various community, education and training, and policy and institutional contexts, and we propose recommendations for further action." Volumes that are longer are divided into parts and chapters focusing on specific topics, while others just contain chapters. Recommendations, main findings, and lessons learned are woven throughout the Report and are also listed in the Executive Summary. Appendices and annexes are also available.
